Mercury City Tower is one of the highest skyscrapers in Europe.
The complex is designed in the form of a stepped, tapering towards the top, 70-storey volume with a height of 340 m.
It is worth noting the structure of the high-rise part of the Complex, formed by the four above-ground storeys of multi-storey structural-compositional elements of varying size within a floor (with a decrease at the top) are arranged around a Central core building, which houses technical, communication shafts and canals, mine’s vertical transport and main stairwell.
The concept of the Complex is fully based on the principle of self-sufficiency, combining the device of premises of functional purpose different types — from offices, residential apartments, retail and SPA areas to technical facilities, transformer substations and diesel generator sets serving the Complex. In addition, the premises for vehicles and other technical areas are located on the four-level underground part.
The unique five-level townhouse premises with atrium spaces, unique for domestic construction, are located on the 70th floor.
As for the complex «Federation Tower», «OPB» performed full set of fire safety works.
The specialists of «OPB» performed the following work:
- Development of the design documentation section “Fire Safety Measures” (FSM);
- The complex of technical and organizational measures to ensure fire safety;
- Development of the special technical requirements (STR) for design and construction in terms of ensuring fire safety;
- Maintenance and technical and scientific support in developing the design and working documentation, developed by other organizations, including foreign companies, in terms of requirements of fire safety;
- Development of design and working documentation for fire protection systems;
- Calculation of categories of buildings and premises by explosive and fire hazard;
- Determination of settlement sizes of fire risk in buildings, construction and structures of various classes of functional fire hazard;
- Calculations to determine the actual fire resistance of building structures ;
- Report on the preliminary planning of military operations for fire departments to extinguish the fire and conduct rescue operations (Fire-fighting plan);
- Development of measures to ensure the required fire resistance of exterior curtain walls (facade design, including stained glass);
