The functional purpose:
- LIQUEFIED NATURAL GAS PRODUCTION
A part of the production complex "Prigorodnoe".
The LNG plant is intended for reception, preparation, processing and liquefaction of natural gas. The first in Russia plant for production of liquefied natural gas (LNG), oil export terminal and LNG in the South of Sakhalin island, which in turn demanded a whole range of scientific research in the field of fire safety, with the participation of leading specialists.
The plant includes:
- two LNG storage tank with a capacity of 100,000 m3 each;
- LNG berth;
- two technological line for production of LNG with a capacity of 4.8 million tons of LNG per year each;
- two ball storage tank of the refrigerant (propane and ethane) at 1600 cu m each (maximum capacity);
- the heat transfer fluid system for supplying heat to various process consumers;
- five gas turbine generators with a total capacity of approximately 129 MW of electricity.
The specialists of «OPB» performed the following work:
- Development of the special technical requirements (STR) for design and construction in terms of ensuring fire safety;
- Maintenance and technical and scientific support in developing the design and working documentation, developed by other organizations, including foreign companies, in terms of requirements of fire safety;
- Advising on new laws, regulatory legal acts of the Russian Federation and normative documents on fire safety and informing the Client about changes or newly adopted laws and regulations and a brief explanation.;
