OIL PLATFORM "LUNSKAYA- A" (LUN-A)

THE PLATFORM «LUNSKAYA- A» (LUN-A) was ESTABLISHED IN JUNE 2006 IN the LUNSKOYE GAS FIELD IN the OKHOTSK SEA, 15 KM FROM the COAST AT a DEPTH of 48 M.

When creating a platform we used the most modern project solutions to ensure year-round operation given the low temperatures, ice conditions, wind and wave conditions, and potential seismic loads, which imposed additional difficulties in implementing the integrated approach of fire safety. The substructure of the Loon-A platform is a concrete gravity base type with four supports to support the top of the buildings. It is among the world’s largest movable man-made structures.

Due to the development of group of companies «OPB», including the development of STR to ensure fire security, first made possible the implementation of complex measures to ensure fire safety on gas platforms.
Further, our specialists have found application in the design and construction of facilities.

The specialists of «OPB» performed the following work:

• Development of the special technical requirements (STR) for design and construction in terms of ensuring fire safety;
• Maintenance and technical and scientific support in developing the design and working documentation, developed by other organizations, including foreign companies, in terms of requirements of fire safety;
