THE PLATFORM IS INTENDED FOR DEVELOPMENT OF THE PRIRAZLOMNOYE OIL FIELD, LOCATED IN THE ARCTIC CONDITIONS IN THE PECHORA SEA, 60 KM FROM THE MAINLAND.
The platform will provide year-round drilling for oil vertical and horizontal methods, oil production and preparation for transportation by tankers.
The platform consists of a base caisson gravity type, the intermediate deck and top structure. The caisson is a steel base that serves as a support for the intermediate deck and top structure that includes the equipment and systems for the extraction and processing of oil.
The plan of the caisson is square in shape. The side — slanted, the corners — beveled. The dimensions of the base of the caisson are 126×126m (elevation +0,0), decreasing at the top to 102×102m (elevation +24.3). The internal volume of the caisson is divided on 16 capacities by the transverse and longitudinal cofferdams. These capacities are storage tanks of oil (nominal capacity of 136000 cubic meters), as well as the rooms, which include the Kingston boxes and wellheads areas. For corrosion protection the outer covering of the caisson in the impact zone of ice is made of steel clad stainless steel layer.
The topsides have the equipment and systems for the drilling and operation of wells, oil production, preparation and shipment of crude oil, supply of all types of production. On the upper building there are the living quarters to accommodate staff, service module to accommodate ventilation and electrical equipment, two deck cranes, rescue system of the crew in an emergency, communication systems, air traffic control complex, a helipad.
The steel superstructure is formed them of the upgraded topsides platform «Hutton». The intermediate deck is the additional level between the caisson and the top of the structure. The cisterns for the drinking water, the diesel fuel and different borax liquids are formed in its internal volumes.
MLSP is equipped with the contemporary integrated system for control and safety, the main part of the production process on the platform is carried out automatically. The platform houses the automated remote control of shipment of oil on tankers.
