BUILDING OF THE FEDERAL STATE STATISTICS SERVICE

OFFICE BUILDING CONSTRUCTED IN 1936 AS THE «HOUSE OF UNION» (THEN — THE BUILDING OF CASSR AND GOSKOMSTAT OF RUSSIA) DUE TO THE PROJECT OF THE FRENCH ARCHITECT LE CORBUSIER AND COLLIE N. I.

It is a monument of architecture of Federal significance.

The architectural and composition solution of the building is based on the combination of different height volumes from 3 to 8 floors. The facades are on the contrast solid walls with large areas of glazing. The design of the building is a monolithic reinforced concrete frame of columns of variable cross section with a pitch along the axes of 6.25 meters and beams on which are laid the floor decks. The exterior walls are brick, lined with artexim tuff and partly plastered by terrazite plaster. The glazing of the façades in aluminium sashes with original (design) the nature of picture frames.

Functionally the building is divided into three buildings: building «B» building «B1», building «K».
